Decorating a nursery is like setting the stage for all the memories you’re about to create from the first night home, first giggles, late night snuggles, and growing personalities.
I wanted to design wallpaper that would become the backdrop to all the dreams and memories ahead. That’s why I drew these sweet jungle animals – elephants, giraffes, leopards, and tigers sharing moments with their babies. They are quietly parenting alongside you without overwhelming the space, making it ideal for full room installation or feature walls behind cribs or changing tables.

A Softer Take on Jungle Nursery Wallpaper
Jungle and safari nursery themes have been popular for years and I wanted to create something that felt timeless and tender while growing alongside your child for many years.
The toile-inspired illustration style gives a more handmade yet boutique feel like a vintage storybook for modern interiors.
It works beautifully for:
- Gender neutral/unisex nurseries
- Safari nursery themes
- Modern traditional homes
- Grandmillennial-inspired nurseries
- Animal-themed baby rooms
- Statement nursery accent walls
Designed for Both Parents and Interior Designers
When designing for wallpaper, I think about how it will live inside a home. Interior designers often want nursery wallpaper that feels elevated enough to blend in with the rest of the home without feeling too juvenile or temporary. Expecting parents want nursery wallpaper that feels magical and cozy without sacrificing style. This modern toile nursery wallpaper was meant to bridge the two.
The artwork is detailed enough to feel special up close while still reading as calm and cohesive across the room. It would pair beautifully with natural woods, cozy textiles, vintage-inspired decor, and layered neutral palettes.

Why Toile Works So Well in Nurseries
Traditional toile patterns have a storytelling quality that makes them especially perfect for children’s spaces. Using jungle animals with their babies adds that extra sweetness with themes of protection, love, connection, curiosity, and family that comes through in the soft handcrafted artwork.
Unlike character or trendy themes, toile designs tend to age gracefully with the space.
A Jungle Nursery that Feels Unique
I wanted this design to feel more artful and more sentimental. It feels equally at home in a thoughtfully designed nursery and in a designer portfolio because nursery spaces can be beautiful and whimsical.
